The Sea Biscuit inhabits the sand around coral reefs from Florida to the West Indies. Related to the Starfish (or Sea Star) and the Sea Urchin, these sea creatures are covered with sharp colorful spines. When they die the "hard part" that washes to shore is called a "test" which has the beautiful petal-like pattern shown in the photos above.

This candle mold was made from a real Sea Biscuit so the detail is incredible. The tiny holes where the spines once were produces a lovely textured surface and these candles give a beautiful warm glow when lit.

This is a HAND POURED candle with SOLD COLOR wax throughout, not white wax that's been dipped into colored wax. Premium translucent paraffin wax and all-cotton wicks.

Measures about 4.5" Long x 3.5" Wide x 2-1/8" High
Burn Time about 24-28 hours
