The
legend of the sand dollar is that Christ
left the sand dollar as a symbol to help
evangelists teach the faith. The five
holes represent the five wounds Christ
received while on the cross: four nail
holes and the hole made by the Roman's
spear. In the center of one side of the
sand dollar, there is the Easter lily and
in the middle of the lily is the star of
Bethlehem. The Christmas poinsettia is on
the other side which is a reminder of
Christ's birth. If you break the sand
dollar open, there are five white pieces
of shell which look like doves. These are
said to bring good will and peace.
These wonderful Sand Dollar Candles are
an exclusive design!!
This is a HAND POURED, HAND
PAINTED and
HAND ASSEMBLED candle made with a premium
UNscented, semi-transparent paraffin wax
and all-cotton wicks.
Each candle features a 3-dimensional
single white Sand Dollar with a realistic
textured surface and hand painted details
in a light golden brown color.
Their extended rounded bottoms allow them
to float OR they can be burned on a
candle-safe, non-flammable surface such
as a glass dish or ceramic plate, since
their bottoms are flat and level. Place a
few floating in a bowl to create
beautiful beach wedding centerpieces.
These also make wonderful beach wedding
favors or bridal shower favors.
These candles produce a wonderful warm
glow when burning since the wax is
semi-transparent.
